These electrically insulated man lifts offer fiberglass insulated booms, are operated on nonconductive hydraulic hoses which serve to reduce ground fault and fiber optic control cables.
Scissor Lifts
The scissor lift is a unique machine capable of transporting personnel vertically to hard-to-reach areas. The scissor lift derived its name because of the scissor type of design of the folding supports that could lower and raise the platform. In order to hoist the lift, each one of the folding supports is opened in order to extend the platform to higher heights.
Scissor lifts can be either manually or hydraulically lifted. Hydraulic systems allow the scissor lifts to descend with only a release of hydraulic pressure, rather than relying on power. Because the possibility of mechanical malfunctions preventing the platform from suddenly descending to the ground is eliminated, at the end of the day, hydraulic systems make safer scissor lifts.
